    I’m not an atheist but…
Phil’s podcast is great regardless of your belief system. Highly recommended!!!

    Grammar mistake…
You’re slogan should read …for atheists, agnostics and “whomever”, not “whoever”. Please change that and I’ll give you 5 stars. Thanks

Great podcast, maybe a diamond in the rough
I appreciate this podcast so much. Where some podcasts (or YouTube channels) are all glitter and no substance, this podcast is just a genuine guy talking about interesting topics in a thoughtful, sincere, humorous, sometimes slightly neurotic way. I love it. After 6 years of listening, I consider each episode to almost be like a call from a friend, except I don't talk back. :) One of my favorite podcasts, and one of the few that rates high enough to get a listen every time and not just when the topic suits my interests.

    No doubt about it
Been listening for a long time, Phil covers news stories, current events, and other topics of interest to agnostics, atheists, and whoever.

    Maybe a little generous...
Playing the system a bit here. If I'm honest, I'd probably give a 3 or 3.5 star rating. He's no Sam Harris or 'The Thinking Atheist'... But I find the guy kinda charming.

    Phil is SO chill!
I really enjoy this thoughtful and entertaining podcast! Phil always has an interesting and authentic take on his topics. He is vulnerable, funny and self-deprecating...an all-around charmer! He may be exasperated from time-to-time, but never angry or hateful! He also has an attention to detail, and will go so far as to re-record or post an updated version if he finds errors. I respect that a a lot. Keep up the good work!

    Skepticism
Great show, healthy skepticism and really enlightening, good listen whether I'm deployed overseas or at duty station

    Good show!
Phil puts on a good show. He is entertaining, thoughtful, a bit irreverent, and sometimes self-deprecating in the interest of humor. I may be biased, since I've known him personally for close to 20 years, but I enjoy hearing him put himself into work that he loves. His passion and curiosity shine through in his podcast. Well done, Phil! :)

    Thankful for your podcast.
Thank you for exposing religion for the hypocrites they are. When more people are enlightened we will all be free. Then we will treat eachother with the humanity we each can enjoy. The Week in Doubt is the light, the way and the truth. It is so pleasing to listen to. Keep up the good work Phil. Hawaiian Logic somewhere in the Pacific.

    Quick and enjoyable!
This is a great little podcast that gets in and out and gets to to really think. Phil has a relatable out-look on life and religion and provides some thoughtful commentary on his beliefs. I also really enjoy his episodes where he digs into old folklore and provides some great historical data. Keep up the great work!!! -The Beardcaster

    Restores my "faith" in humanity
I found this podcast very recently: shortly after the 2016 election. I was in a very bad way psychologically and felt that logic and skepticism had perished from our fair country. Doubt is a quality that I think is our most useful and laudable human trait (I could be wrong about that), so when I saw the title of this podcast, I thought that I could find some of what I felt so deprived of at that time. Man, was I right! Phil is a smart, reasoned, methodical, and very funny guy. I have listened to all the new podcasts as they come out and cought up on mose of the back episodes as well. I have recommended The Week in Doubt to all my friends and to strangers on the street. I defintely recommend it to anyone who is looking for clear and measured info-tainment regarding current events and matters of "belief." One more thing I have to say, I am always blown away by the amount of research Phil does for each podcast. Truly awesome that he can pack that much depth of knowledge about so many things (The Exorcist, Krampus, Mitt Romney, etc) into a 30-ish minute segment week-after-week.

    was not impressed
I tried a few episodes and found it hard to get through them. Others seem to like him so it’s probably just me. The current episode about sexism allegations amongst Atheist thinkers was the last straw for me though.

    OK
I have almost deleted this podcast a couple times but I really like Phil’s voice. It reminds me of an old boyfriend’s (who is no longer with us). Sometimes Phil is also interesting but sometimes he rambles on. Also his interviewing skill is a bit lacking - he talks too much when he should be asking questions and listening.

    Thoughtful and fun
Thought provoking and insightful look at a variety of news and topics in religion delivered in a calm, friendly and easy going host. Fun for the whole family.

    Atheist Everyman
Phil really is a great voice in the Secular movement. He has a great everyman approach to questions that lead people to doubt. I don't mean to say he's not smart, he's quite intelligent and well thought out, I just mean to say his podcast is very relatable and a welcome point of view.

    Great podcast!
Phil is great to listen to and I love how he keeps me up to date with current events. My only complaint is I want more! Longer episodes please!

    Phil pumping up the volume?
I took me a while to figure what I wanted to write about this 'cast, and why exactly I like it. It's "Pump up the Volume" like, the movie with Christian Slater. He seems to think out loud, perhaps speaking to everyone or no one. I expect him to play tunes in between thoughts sometimes. The "format" is much like a fellow talking about what he thinks about what's going on. It seems more personal, more like a conversation perhaps. I usually have a cup of coffee and settle in. It's informative, thought provoking and mellow, due to Phil's particular style and voice (reminds me of David Puddy). It has become one of the 'casts I look forward to. I recommend giving it a listen particularly if the more "angry" or "confrontational" shows aren't your taste. Well done Phil. Yes, we're listening.

    recommend! -- after several episodes...
While addressing issues that are often addressed by other podcasters (and authors, and speakers -- many for hundreds of years), Phil provides an engaging program with well thought out and expressed reviews of issues of interest to "over thinking" skeptics and non-believers (and probably believers as well).

    Good stuff
One of my favs - very articulate and thoughtful. I always learn something new, be it some background of a biblical narrative, something I missed on the news, or sometimes just a new word. Phil always uses a rich and engaging speaking style and has a large vocabulary. Look forward to many more episodes.

    Great show!!!
Love the show, both educational and intertaining. Would love to get the hosts perspective on actual stories from the Bible. I also like that he plays clips from RealTime with Bill Maher, and The Young Turks, two of my favorite shows. Thanks Phil.

    An Intelligent Podcast
Mr. Albertelli is educated and intelligent. I congratulate him on undertaking such a controversial subject, and sharing his thoughts with us. He uses his powers of reason well, and therefore his atheistic views are persuasive. I highly recommend his thought provoking podcast, but I do have a couple of very minor quibbles. First, he tends to be overly polite, overly modest, and often apologetic. Since I come from a similar strict Catholic, Italian-American background, I understand his utterly respectful nature. But, once in a while one wishes he'd get forceful and state his beliefs without equivocating. Come on, Phil, don't pull your punches. Make it a harder-hitting podcast. Secondly, I wish there were some interaction with other people, be it listeners who send in feedback by email (I was unable to find an email link for him), or guests over a Skype connection. Listening only to Mr. Albertelli speaking can, at times, be a tad wearisome. Nevertheless, I hope his podcast continues for a long time to come. I think anyone who takes time to wonder about his or her existence and the supernatural will indeed like this podcast as much as I do.

    Keep them Coming!
Phil is really sincere in his approach. He does a really good job at breaking down arguments and also examining current events from the perspective of a non-believer. The freethought podcasting scene is dominated by some big names but with guys like Phil, it shows that the average Joe has a voice. Keep up the good work.

    Nicely done.
I really enjoy this podcast. Phil is very reasonable and thoughtful guy who is capable of exploring an idea from many angles whilst being clear with his own opinions and still giving his listeners the room to form their own. He does his homework, clearly, and when he is mistaken he corrects himself right away. This is a great podcast for fostering freethought.

    One of my faves
Excellent podcast. Phil is a sincere, real dude who is not interested in promoting an agenda or proving anyone wrong. Great insights, great facts (that are swiftly corrected when misstated), overall fantastic show. Please keep up the good work.

    This Week in Doubt
Just listened to the first podcast and loved it. The presenter is thoughtful and obviously has done his homework on this topic. He is very laid back - not at all 'preachy" if you'll pardon the pun. I am looking forward to listening to the rest of his podcasts and hope that he is able to continue for a very long time. Christopher Hitchens would be proud of his efforts.

Just started listening & so far I am enjoying this podcast. Happy the host is keeping the profanity out. Many skeptical podcasts seem to want to shock me with "shocking" language. Thanks Phil. I'll keep listening.

What a great podcast! I've now listened to four of them and they are so informative! I bet most Christians don't ever take the time to know the things I've learned in a in just a few podcast in a lifetime of church going. Keep it up!
